Siberian born soprano Anna Gorbachyova graduated with distinction from the Royal Academy Opera in London in 2012. From 2007 until 2010 Ms Gorbachyova studied at the Royal College of Music in London. From 2002 until 2006 she was studying at the Ural State University in the Faculty of International Relations and the Music College named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Ekaterinburg.

In December 2010 Anna debuted on the stage of the Hungarian State Opera as Musetta in Puccini’s “La Bohème”. In 2011 she sang the role of Zhou in the world premiere of “Kommilitonen! (Young Blood!)” by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies at the Royal Academy Opera; she had the title role in “La Calisto” by Cavalli at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music and was the Nymphe in the world premiere of the opera Gogol by L. Auerbach in Theatre an der Wien. Also Ms. Gorbachyova sang The Queen of the Night in “Die Zauberflöte” at the Royal Academy Opera, the title role in “Le Rossignol” by Stravinsky in Lyon National Opera in 2012, Musetta in “La Bohème” at Theater an der Wien in 2013, Lady Madeline in “Usher House”, Madeline in “La chute de la Maison Usher” at Welsh National Opera in 2014 and The First Nymph in “Rusalka” at Teatro dell’ Opera di Roma in 2014 as well as participated in the Mozart Academy of the Festival d’Aix en Provence.

Besides being on the opera stage Anna has performed at the 9th International Chamber Music Festival in Nuremberg, arias by Rameau under Christophe Rousset’s baton at the Russian — French Festival “Four Centuries of French Music” in the Kremlin in 2010, “Stabat Mater” by Boccherini for soprano solo in Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona with The Kammerorchester Berlin, “Les Noces” at the Bath International Music Festival and “Ein Deutsches Requiem” at the Ulverston International Music Festival in 2012, at the Varaždin International Baroque Evenings Festival and at Herne International Festival of Early Music with the orchestra Pratum Integrum in 2013, “Nelson Mass” with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013, and “The Four Last Songs” by Strauss with the Worthing Symphony Orchestra in 2013.

Anna has performed soprano-solo in numerous oratorios by Handel, Brahms, Haydn (“Maria Theresa Mass” etc), Rossini (“Petite Messe Solennelle”), Vaughan Williams (“A Sea Symphony”), cantatas by Bach, and concert arias by Mozart. Anna is a keen recitalist and sings with a great pleasure art songs by Russian, French, German and English composers.

Ms. Gorbachyova has won numerous awards including the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the First International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti in Innsbruck, Austria (2010) and the First Prize at the 42nd International Antonín Dvořák Vocal Competition in Czech Republic (2007). In April 2009 she became the third prize winner of the 15th Ferruccio Tagliavini International Singing Competition in Deutschlandsberg in Austria, and in January 2010 she was granted the Honorable – Mention Award at the 61st Competition for Young Opera Singers of Europe in Como in Italy. She was also a finalist of the Handel Singing Competition in London in 2012 and Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition in San Marino in 2013.

During Anna’s studies in London, her teachers were Rosa Mannion and Lillian Watson. Anna has been receiving training in ballroom dancing and classical choreography since 9 years old.
